Nasal dressing forceps

  • To insert, manipulate, and remove dressings or nasal packing (e.g. gauze, sponges) inside the nasal cavity, particularly after surgery, trauma, or in epistaxis (nosebleeds). 

  • To reach into deeper or difficult‑to‑see areas of the nose to place or remove materials without damaging nasal mucosa. 

  • Also used to remove crusts, foreign bodies, polyps, or to assist in other intra‑nasal procedures requiring precise grasping.

Shape / ShaftLong, slender shaft often with a bayonet or angled shape so that the hands/fingers do not block line of sight. The curvature helps reach around anatomical obstructions.
Jaws / TipNarrow jaws, sometimes slightly curved; inner surfaces usually serrated to grip dressings securely. The edges are often blunt to avoid tissue trauma. Some variants have fine teeth (e.g. 1×2 teeth) for better grasping of tissue when needed.
